Wow, I have been busy and fallen behind on my writing. I have been working on my new role at work and still transitioning out of my old position. It has been hectic, and I haven’t spent much time working on other things.
I have still been posting on Instagram with some regularity. I did manage to post one YouTube Video. It hasn’t had many views, though. However, my overall views continue to grow. On Jan 28th, I reached 200 video views on my Chance Tourist account. The most popular videos are My Quick Day Trip to Kinsale, Ireland. I have similar videos, so I’m not sure why that one is more popular than the others. Is it the name, the location? Not sure.
I haven’t posted any videos to my She Loves Home account, but nothing has come close to my Guinea Pig video with 1,000 views.
Let’s catch up on the past few weeks. First, I love the Super Bowl Half Time show. So much so that Facebook keeps showing me posts about Eminem, Dre, Snoop, and now Brittney and Eminem’s collaboration, lol.
There are a lot of negative things happening around the world. It is a good reminder to appreciate where we live. It is also a reminder that things can change in a blink of an eye, so working on my side hustles should stay a priority. It wouldn’t take much for our own economy to change dramatically.
We are going back to Florida this spring. I am looking forward to a vacation and getting some new travel pictures and videos. Also, our extended family is going, and it should be a lot of fun. I haven’t been on vacation with my parents and sister since I was in my early 20s.
Today we went snow skiing. I am planning to take my son tomorrow. I was hoping to go next weekend, but right now, it looks like it will be in the mid-’40s. So this could already be the last weekend to ski. I doubt it, though, since we typically still have snow flurries in April.
The last thing I am focused on is improving my physical health. I have let some middle-aged weight creep on, and sitting on a computer all day isn’t helping. I’ve always liked step aerobics, so I bought a step for home use. I also downloaded the Meal – Mindful Eating and Living Subscription*. It is brand new and is free for seven days. I like the videos, but it is a new app. They don’t have any food journaling or other engagement categories yet. The subscription is reasonable, but I’m not sure if I want it until their development is further along. I’ll let you know in the next post.
*Note: I do not have a paid sponsorship or business relationship with the Meal App. I am simply sharing my experience as I begin to use the platforms.
